XP Mold Precision Machining: Grinder Maintenance and Operation Guide
Grinding machines require dedicated personnel for daily maintenance, standardized operation, and regular inspections to maintain equipment accuracy.
Post-Operation Maintenance
1. Clean all machine components, focusing on wiping and oiling sliding surfaces to reduce wear.
2. Remove grinding debris to prevent impact on machining accuracy.
3. Apply rust inhibitor to key exposed parts for proper protection.
4. Clean the dust collector and filter weekly. If suction is weak, check for blockage in the pipes and keep them clear to prevent potential hazards.
Key Points for Grinding Operations
1. Before grinding, balance the grinding wheel to prevent vibration that could damage accuracy and equipment.
2. Select the appropriate grinding wheel based on the workpiece material and hardness to ensure performance and safety.
3. Apply a thin film of oil to the spindle end and grinding wheel flange to prevent rust and reduce friction.
4. Confirm the spindle rotation direction before starting the machine to avoid equipment malfunction.
5. Do not use air guns to clean the workpiece or machine to prevent dust from spreading or damaging components.
6. After starting the machine, check the oil window to ensure the oil circuit is clear and lubrication is normal.
Core Component Maintenance
1. Suction Cup Maintenance
The accuracy of the suction cup surface determines the accuracy of the workpiece. If the accuracy decreases or the surface is damaged, re-grind it to meet the required specifications.
2. Lubrication System Maintenance
- Replace the lubricating oil after the first month of use, and every 3-6 months thereafter.
- When changing the oil, drain the old oil and clean the oil reservoir and filter.
