During the precision machining process of mold components, the quality can be directly affected. Proper control of precision machining effectively reduces part deviations and scrap rates while improving the first-pass success rate and service life of mold components. 1. Heat Treatment

The heat treatment process must not only achieve the required hardness but also control internal stresses to ensure dimensional stability during machining. Different materials require specific treatment methods.


2. Grinding Machining

Grinding operations primarily use three types of machines: surface grinders, internal/external cylindrical grinders, and tool grinders. Precision grinding must strictly control grinding deformation and cracks—even microscopic cracks may become apparent in later production. Therefore:


Use minimal grinding depth

Ensure sufficient coolant

For tolerances within 0.01mm, employ constant-temperature grinding
