High-Precision Mold Component Assembly Process (XP MOLD Standard)


1. Selecting Assembly Reference Parts: 

Based on the XP MOLD high-precision machining technical specifications, prioritizing reference parts during the initial assembly phase is crucial. Selection principles strictly adhere to the machining dependencies of the mold's core components. Mold components that serve as reference parts primarily include the punch, die, dies, guide plates, and retaining plates, providing the foundation for ensuring subsequent assembly accuracy.


2. Conducting Component Assembly: 

Before final assembly, high-precision equipment is used to assemble two or more components into functional components according to technical specifications. Examples include integrating the mold base, fitting the punch and die to the retaining plate, and assembling the unloading and ejection mechanism components. The quality of component assembly directly impacts the final accuracy of the entire mold component.


3. Performing Overall Assembly: 

This is the critical step in integrating discrete parts and prefabricated components into a complete mold. Before operation, the assembly reference parts must be reconfirmed and the assembly sequence of the upper and lower molds must be planned. XP MOLD high-precision equipment is utilized throughout the entire process to ensure assembly consistency and accuracy. 4. Adjust the gap between the punch and die: Leveraging the advantages of high-precision machining, the uniformity of the gap between the punch and die is strictly controlled and adjusted. Common methods include light transmission, measurement, and shimming. Only after the gap adjustment meets the required standards can the screws and pins be tightened to ensure stable operation of the mold components.


5. Complete Inspection and Adjustment: 

After assembly, the functionality and assembly accuracy of each mold component are inspected using high-precision equipment according to XP MOLD acceptance standards. A mold trial is conducted under actual production conditions, and the mold is modified based on the part's performance. Once the trial is qualified, the assembly process for the entire mold assembly is complete.
